My name is Sophia Greenfield. I am the Director of Christian Education (DCE) here at Zion. My position was developed to support the pastor and the church as we learn more about our wonderful God. I graduated from Concordia St. Paul in 2021, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry with a minor in Lutheran theology and an A.O.E. in communications. Then, in 2023, I completed my master’s degree and obtained a K-6 teaching license. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, bike rides, trail walking, video games, crafting, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
I was born in St. Charles, Missouri. I lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan, during my early childhood. In elementary school,  my family moved to Racine, Wisconsin, where my parents reside. My mom was a school bus driver for 20+ years. Now, she is a semi-truck driver. My dad was a Director of Christian Education for 25 years and now serves as a Lutheran School Teacher. I have a brother named Drew, who is a home inspector. He lives with his wife and daughter in Michigan.
I have been involved in camp ministry for about 13 years. I have been to five different camps throughout my life. Most of my camper experiences were at Walcamp in Illinois. When I was old enough, I worked at Camp LuWiSoMo in Wisconsin. I served four years as the Waterfront Director/Head Lifeguard and a camp counselor there. My husband and I met as campers at Walcamp and remet as counselors at LuWisoMo. In 2022, we were married at LuWiSoMo.
